Hat, Hand, Boot

The Vegan Cannibalism project explores how dining ritual can serve as a medium to raise awareness about the understanding of human consumption cycle. Working together with Long Prawn for Melbourne Design Week 2025, examines how raw ingredients are processed from the earth, cultivated, and constructed into beautiful dishes in a cohesive space. It addresses our responsibility as humans to transform food cycle into something to rebirth. This project studies a human-earth connection, through food architecture and earth materiality, building into the construction of a dining ritual, fostering a conscious experience of the interaction with the design of food, the table, the crockery, and the seating within the entire dining cycle.

A Twin Chair, an upcycling project in collaboration with Ratchanont N. (Peter). A set of dining chairs discovered at thrift shop featured colonial-style legs that felt worth preserving and emphasizing. The development began with deconstruction, evolving through experimentation with different seating arrangements. The armrests and backrest were upcycled, reassembled from the deconstructed parts of the old chairs’ backrests. The structure was supported with threaded rods, reinforcing the backrest, armrests, and seat joinery. The seat pad incorporated the remaining offcuts of Saveboard.
